Fall

Every morning I wander through Golden Gate park and I'm so inspired by the beautiful gardens. The flowers, trees, grass and all the ferns omitting such fresh damp air.

I found this amazing neon green leaf with orange tips, indicating the seasonal change.

Sunset

Sunset

Sunsets constantly inspire Maribel.  One of the beautiful things with sunsets is that it produces such vibrant colors and so many shades of color.  Every sunset is different and are never the same.

Maribel captures this in her paintings, as they are never the same, she is always pushing herself to explore and create new pieces.

Flowers

Flowers

Abstract painting of bright pink flowers growing out of harsh angled lines.  Balancing harsh angles against soft curves of the flower's petals and leaves. Nature vs environment.

Twins

Twins

Twins painting is inspired by Maribel's life as being an identical twin. The two separate canvases painted on either side sharing the same identical patterns and color. However, they are slightly different in terms of color and as they are paired together you can see the turbulence trying to create their own identity. Similar to Maribel's own experience.
